Thanks to Solway Heritage the ruin of Cruggleton Castle has been saved.  The arch would originaly have been the vaulted basement of a much larger building but now, following restoration, it stands proudly at the top of wigtownshire cliff, providing a navigation point and landmark, which can be seen for miles around.
