The theme for this years event is "Water"
The Solway Firth will always be part of Dumfries and Galloway’s
past and future but set aside the weekend of 27th and 28th September, to find out how else water has shaped our region.
Doors Open Days is a one weekend opportunity for you and your family to
pay a visit to some of Dumfries and Galloway’s most interesting buildings for free.
From lighthouses to theatres and Chapels to water mills, there really is
something for everyone - so jump into this year’s Doors Open Days to really make a splash! You’ll receive
a warm welcome at all of the sites and be encouraged to explore and ask questions.
Doors Open Days is part of European Heritage Days, celebrated
every September across Scotland and throughout another 47 countries across Europe. For information on the national programme,
