Bugs in Gardens Project Officer

Solway Heritage is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Project Officer to deliver the Bugs in Gardens project. Working in the Dumfries and Galloway Environmental Resources Centre (DGERC), the Project Officer will develop, manage and deliver the project, working to involve the public in improving local knowledge about invertebrate communities in Dumfries and Galloway and raising awareness of less charismatic species groups.  Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills and a good knowledge of at least one taxonomic group of invertebrates are essential.

Based in Dumfries, the full-time post will run for two years.

The project is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Leader, Scottish Natural Heritage and Dumfries and Galloway Council.
